“I am passionate about building trusted client relationships and supporting them in sustainable development. Earlier in my career, environmental regulations were often seen either as an obstacle or box to check. I always liked to think of it as providing conduit to achieving project success. Over the years, I have seen the progression to more environmentally friendly and conservation focus development. It is rewarding to be a small part of that shift.”

In the early 2000s the Department of Defense required installations to prepare and implement an Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP). I was able to help prepare Langley AFB first INRMP. In a collaborative effort with Langley personnel, USFWS, VDGIF, and other agencies we conducted inventories, developed management plans, and identified projects to enhance the natural resources on base. It was a huge undertaking to develop such a comprehensive document and so rewarding to propose tangible feasible projects for natural resources management.
