Ms. Stafford is a Senior Water Resources Engineer with 16 years of experience in the management and design of civil, roadway, and water resource engineering for Federal, State, and local construction projects. She is licensed as a Professional Engineer in both Maryland and Virginia, and MDE certified in erosion and sediment control. Ms. Stafford has been involved in many transportation projects managing stormwater, drainage, erosion and sediment control, and permitting. She is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers and the Women’s Transportation Seminar. Serena specializes in:

Working on the Purple line and similar transit projects was exciting and has the potential to transform how people move around our region in a more sustainable direction.

Watching a bald eagle chase an osprey away from the eagle’s nest in Caladesi Island State Park.

When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing?

Gardening and visiting botanical gardens and parks for inspiration.
